Raymond M. Zifko, age 79, of Washburn, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Northern Lights Health Care Center, in Washburn. He was born September 11, 1933, in the Town of Bell, the son of Michael and Francis (McCutcheon) Zifko.
On November 22, 1952, he married Constance “Connie” Thoreson, in Washburn. For most of his life, Raymond worked as a carpenter. He was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Washburn.
He is survived by six children, Karen (Christopher Butts) Cound, Diane Ness, Debra (James) Vermoch, Raymond J. Zifko, Randy Zifko and Karlyn Zifko; ten grandchildren, William (Meghan) Lamoreaux, Kari Burgess, Krystal Burgess, Jessica (James) Hurley, Edward (Amber) Ludwikowski, Amanda Doty, Ashley (Joey) Millunzi, Raymond A. Zifko, Eric Zifko and Katie Zifko; several great-grandchildren; and good friends, Butch and Jan Celmer, Washburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Francis Zifko; wife, Constance “Connie” M. Zifko on June 7, 2010; a grandson, Nicholas Doty; and a brother, Roger Zifko.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Bratley Funeral Home, in Washburn, with Pastor Dan Zei officiating.
Interment will take place in the Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Bratley Funeral Home, in Washburn. Arrangements are by the Bratley Funeral Home, in Washburn.
